  • Facility & Membership Updates Coming Soon!
In response to a recent survey, and in an effort to ensure the long-term sustainability of the Powell Community Center, we’re making several important updates in the coming months. Along with changes to our pricing structure, we are pleased to announce improved access and expanded programming to provide you with even more opportunities to recreate with us.

Sunday Hours Return — Starting May 4!
You asked and we are delivering. Beginning Sunday, May 4, the PCC will be open Sundays from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with full facility access and?open swim all day. This expanded schedule offers more flexibility for individuals and families to enjoy the center all week long. We know your weekends are valuable and we hope to give you even more reasons to come spend some time with us.

     New Enrichment Programs!
Along with the new Sunday hours, we’re adding a variety of new options to help you stay active, engaged, and learning — including themed cooking and gardening classesself-defense workshops, and more. Membership Rate Update — Effective June 1
Starting June 1, membership dues will be adjusted for existing monthly memberships and any new membership. For full details on updated rates, please visit:
    https://www.missionks.org/parks-recreation/powell-community-center/become-a-member/

In addition to the changes in rates, effective June 1, 2025 a standard membership (annual, monthly or insurance) will no longer include unlimited access to fitness classes or programs. You are welcome to participate in classes by paying a per class fee, or for an additional $10 per month, you may purchase a monthly FitPass which will provide unlimited access to group fitness classes.
These changes ensure we can continue offering a well-rounded mix of quality programs, reliable facility access, and responsive service — not just now, but well into the future. Membership rates have not seen significant realignment for over a decade, and the changes proposed still make the Powell Community Center the most competitive facility in NE Johnson County. Our goal is to make sure your membership will continue to reflect a strong value for your investment in us. With increased access to the facility and enhanced programming, we are confident we can continue to meet your interests and needs.

Thank you for being part of the PCC— we value you and your investment in the community, and look forward to serving you with more access, more variety, and more ways to stay connected and active.
